Trustpower is a listed company which owns and operates the Kaimai, Matahina, Wheao and Flaxy, Esk, Hinemaiaia, Mangorei, Motukawam, Patea, Branch River, Dillmans, Kaniere Forks-Mackays Creek, Arnold, Wahapo, Coleridge, Cobb, Highbank, Paerau and Waipori hydro power schemes, the Tararua wind farm, and the Bream Bay diesel-fired peaking station.  The company also owns hydro stations and wind farms in Australia.

In the year ending March 2015 Trustpower generated 2,216 GWh, around 5% of New Zealand’s total electricity generation.

Trustpower supplies electricity to around 250,000 ICPs and supplies gas to around 23,000 customers.
